About

Artist, photographer and designer Chomoi Picho-Owiny's work is marked by approachable, interesting, and desirable products. His philosophy is that big, innovative ideas deserve to be carefully crafted whilst meaning something to people's lives, and his work embodies that vision. Chomoi started a career in design at a tiny London design firm working on a redesign of a French national newspaper. He then moved into digital, designing and coding websites for a wide range of in house clients and agencies in London. Almost by accident he found himself at Virgin Media, writing advertising copy for Nike, Disney, and Starbucks. Since then he has brought technology and design innovation together for big brands such as Vodafone, Virgin, Unilever, Ladbrokes, RBS, Barclays and Pernod Ricard at leading advertising and digital agencies. His work has been featured in Advertising Age, The Guardian, Campaign, Mashable, Engadget, Contagious, NMA and Webuser. He's also picked up seventeen International awards including a Cannes Lions Cyber Lion bronze, SXSW '11 Awards winner, two Campaign Big silvers and an LIA bronze.

Chomoi grew up in London and studied at the Chelsea School of Art, and later Typography at the University of Reading. He has also photographed European travel and lifestyle features for Mr & Mrs Smith and the Danish tourist board.
